Nice dinner at Okoboji Grill. There are many locations, but we checked out the one in Ankeny.

Pasta dishes start with a side salad, with a choice from an extensive list of salad dressings. There was an even an avocado option! The boys that got a salad had only this to say: “It tastes like a normal salad.”
Alfredo Di Pollo. Creamy garlic sauce with chicken breast and garlic bread. A popular choice.

We had a child in our group that specially requested a quesadilla and apple sauce.

She seemed to approve. And by “approve” I mean want a nap.
(Don’t you like her flower? check it at: www.menazingdesigns.webs.com)

Big G ordered a Grilled Tenderloin with some Boji fries as a side. Other side options include: krinkle fries, sweet potato fries, kettle potato chips, pasta salad, coleslaw, or raw veggies.

The Bojo Philly Steak Sandwich looks tasty, but the meat was overcooked.

The Romano Griller is a go-to option for N. She likes the romano cheese, oregano crust mixture melted on sourdough bread. Inside? Turkey, mozzarella, lettuce, tomato.

M tried to avoid the greasiness that was prevalent in most of our meals by ordering a Buffalo Chicken Salad. Great option with Bleu cheese dressing. Don’t mind that garlic bread.

Boji Boneless Chicken Bites. with a Sweet Chili sauce.

Spinart Chicken on Ciabatta was a little dry, but that Spinach/Artichoke spread made up for it.

Our waiter was nice, had a great memory, and honored my request for half sweet potato/half boji fries. I can’t decide which fry is better!

Nice to catch up with my cousins,

watch a little football,

and eat some alright food. The to-go containers generated some buzz at our table since they appeared to be reusable (for a couple times as least).

Giving Okoboji 6 out of 10. Nothing that really wowed us, but pretty much what we expected….Unlike this guy who is just full of surprises.
