Wednesday’s are half price martini and sushi night, but turns out the rolls we ordered were not half price….still tasty.

Cosi Cucina is making another appearance on the blog, because I really really like eating there. Started with some scallops.
Had to get the Gorgonzola Pasta because it is absolutely delightful.
Ended with proper birthday dessert. (can’t tell you for sure what it was, but it was perfect.)

A bit pricier than I would like, but then again I was full for the rest of the day…until it was time to eat my left overs.

Been meaning to check out the new Exile Brewery since it opened. Ventured there on Friday to find a packed house.
Three Exile beers were available: Hannah-Weiss, Betty Blonde, & Ruthie. Our table went with Ruthies all around!

Bacon Wrapped Andouille @ Buzzard Billy’s. Drizzle in maple syrup. Save this for a bloody mary kind of morning or if you love Brinner (breakfast for dinner, obv). As much as I love things bacon wrapped and gladly eat it off other people’s plates, this is the first time I have ever ordered something bacon wrapped in Des Moines. So kind of a big night…
